Wake Adults Volunteering
Educational Services |
Teach adults to read, write, and master mathematical concepts under the supervision of a Wake Tech instructor.
The Basic Skills Division needs tutors to help students who are preparing to take the high school equivalency exam (GED) and to work with students who are learning English (ESL).
Tutors are also needed in the Compensatory Education Program (CED), to work with adults who have an intellectual disability or traumatic brain injury.
The average volunteer commitment is two hours per week for a minimum of four months. An orientation is conducted regularly.
